on the New Jersey Shore

Let the Candlelight Inn, near Cape May, provide the perfect setting for you to make memories every day of the year. Vacations or romantic getaways spent at our Victorian Inn in North Wildwood are always remembered as special. The Candlelight Inn Bed and Breakfast is our small piece of the New Jersey Shore that we would like to share with you and your special someone.

Just three blocks from the beach and boardwalk and within walking distance of several great restaurants, the Candlelight Inn is located in a lovely residential area of North Wildwood, NJ. It is a charming 1906 Queen Anne Victorian home that will take you back to a simpler time. Our accommodations, however, will provide you with all the modern amenities that you need, including double whirlpool tubs, gas or electric fireplaces, flat-screen TVs, and wireless Internet access throughout the property. Each room has its own air conditioning unit and its own bathroom.

Whatever the time of year, wonderful restaurants and shopping abound and, cultural and historical, or nature based activities are within a short drive of our inn. Whatever your pleasure, you can find it here in Cape May County either at the Candlelight Inn or just minutes away.

Your time at the Candlelight Inn provides a peaceful rest while a variety of wonderful activities await you only minutes away. From the beach and the Hereford Lighthouse to the boardwalk with rides and attractions, to the bay with kayaking and canoeing; our B&B is moments from where your perfect vacation begins. The beaches in the Wildwoods are wide, and the sand is soft to the touch. For sunning, tanning, surfing, or swimming on the New Jersey Shore, there is no equal. The best part is our beaches our free.

Need a break - whether you like to golf, fish, bike, or swim there is plenty to accommodate your desires.

Enjoy quiet walks along a deserted beach or through the Hereford Lighthouse’s Victorian Gardens that lead to the seawall that extends along the Hereford Inlet.  Many historic attractions are open on a limited schedule throughout the year, including the Hereford Inlet and Cape May Lighthouses, the newly restored WWII Tower, and the Naval Air Station Wildwood Aviation Museum. Antiquing throughout the county is a wonderful way to spend the afternoon or consider strolling amongst the shops in downtown Cape May. One of our favorites is to visit the various wineries or the new Cape May Brewery. They offer tastings and tours and many provide wonderful spots for picnic lunches.
